The technical inspector must approve general construction of all roll bars. If the carburetor protrudes above a line drawn on the top of the cage and the front nerf bar, you must add a roll bar over the top of the cage and the radiator or nose, so the carburetor does not hit in the event of a roll-over. The main frame rails must be constructed of a minimum of 1 ½ inch O.D., 1/8 inch steel tubing. Steel pipe or multi-tube frame rail construction is acceptable as long as equal strength in maintained.
